The 2026–2029 Belleville Police Service Strategic Plan, The Way Forward, sets the framework, strategic directions and priorities to achieve the Police Service's mandate and statutory responsibilities. It identifies three key priorities for the Service.
Three key priorities
- Collaborative Community Safety and Engagement — building strategic partnerships that strengthen community safety, increasing police visibility, and increasing transparency through public communications.
- People, Culture and Capacity — measures to attract and retain officers, along with training programs to develop the skills of current officers.
- Operational Excellence — modernizing communication and technology, and developing new procedures to streamline workflows for officers.
