Accident Support

If you're in a collision in Belleville, you may need to report it. Reportable collisions are handled at Accident Support Services, where staff help you complete the police report.

Injuries or serious damage? Call 911

If anyone is injured or there is serious damage, call 911 and do not move the vehicles. For a minor collision with no injuries, call the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882 and an officer will direct you to the scene or to Accident Support Services.

When you must report a collision

Under the Highway Traffic Act, you must report a collision involving personal injury, property damage exceeding $5,000, or damage to highway infrastructure. Report it forthwith (without delay).

What to exchange at the scene

Exchange driver's licence, address, insurance policy details, and vehicle-permit information with the other drivers involved.

At the reporting centre

  1. Bring your information

    Bring your licence, insurance, and vehicle-permit details for everyone involved.

  2. Complete the report

    Staff help you complete the police report and apply damage stickers to the vehicles.

  3. Document and notify

    Vehicle damage is photographed, and you can contact your insurance company and family from the centre.
