Who needs fingerprinting
The Belleville Police Service takes fingerprints for civil purposes, including citizenship, employment, adoption, volunteer screening, immigration, visas/waivers, record-suspension (pardon) applications, and other civil purposes. Digital prints are accepted for most submissions; inked prints are used when fingerprints must be sent out of the country.
By appointment only
Fingerprinting is available by appointment only. Book online or call 613-966-0882 and select option 5. Staff at Police Headquarters see the same appointment dates and times that appear in the online calendar.
How to get fingerprinted
Book an appointment
Reserve a time using the online booking calendar, or phone 613-966-0882 (option 5).
Bring the required documents
Bring valid government-issued photo ID and any request letter or reference number from the agency requiring your prints (for example, an immigration file number or RCMP form).
Attend and pay
Attend Police Headquarters at the scheduled time. Fees may be paid in exact change by cash, debit, Visa, or MasterCard.

Charged with an offence?
If you were charged and released with a condition to be fingerprinted, attend on the date and time specified in your release documents. Criminal fingerprinting is separate from the civil service above.
