Founded in 1836, the Belleville Police Service celebrates 190 years of service in 2026, with the official anniversary on June 18, 2026. A series of exhibits, tours and events runs throughout the year.
Exhibits and tours
- Glanmore National Historic Site exhibit — “190 Years of the Belleville Police Service,” May 12 to September 13, at 257 Bridge St. E, featuring historic artifacts exploring the evolution of policing in Belleville.
- Downtown walking tour — a self-guided tour launching May 12 that highlights former police headquarters locations with historic photographs and interpretive signage. Printed maps are available at the Community Policing Office, 211 Front St., throughout 2026.
- Community Archives exhibition — “On the Beat in Belleville,” May 12 to June 30, at 254 Pinnacle St., showcasing archival records and photographs related to the police service.
Open House — June 18
Residents are invited to attend guided tours of headquarters and learn about specialized units. Time slots are available and registration is required.

- Challenge coins and die-cast police cars available for purchase
- A 200-plus page historical publication by the Hastings County Historical Society, featuring approximately 100 photos, detailed histories, 600 names, and stories of bravery and service
