When you need a paid duty officer
Paid duty officers are arranged for special events, road or lane closures, construction near roadways, large gatherings, and other situations that require a police presence or traffic direction. Officers are paid by the organization or contractor requesting them, not by the Service.

Submit your details
Provide the date, time, location, and nature of the event so staff can confirm availability and scope.
Confirm the booking
A four-hour minimum applies to each officer booked. Final rates and any equipment costs are confirmed when the request is approved.

Four-hour minimum
A four (4) hour minimum applies to paid duty officers. Confirm current rates and minimums with the Service when you book, as the published schedule is reviewed periodically.
