Report a Crime Online
File a report for eligible non-emergency incidents and receive an incident reference number for your records and insurance purposes.
If this is an emergency, call 911 immediately.
For crimes in progress, threats to life or safety, or any situation requiring an immediate police response — do not use this form. Call 911 right away.

What you can report online
Online reporting is available for the following incidents that occurred within the City of Belleville, where no suspect is known:
- Lost property (under $5,000)
- Theft of property (under $5,000)
- Damage or mischief to property
- Damage or mischief to a vehicle
- Theft from a vehicle
What you cannot report online
The following must be reported by calling our non-emergency line or by visiting 459 Sidney St, Belleville:
- Lost or stolen firearms
- Stolen vehicles
- Stolen licence plates
- Any incident where a suspect is known
- Emergencies or crimes in progress
What happens after you submit
- Your report is recorded in the Belleville Police Service Records Management System and assigned an incident number that can be used for insurance purposes.
- Online reports may not be investigated but are kept as an official record and may be used for statistical and analytical purposes.
- Reports are processed by the end of the next business day. During high-volume periods, processing may take up to 1–3 business days.
- If follow-up is required, an officer will contact you using the information you provide.
