Intimate Partner Violence
On March 19th, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end following a report of a domestic dispute. It was reported that a male and female could be heard yelling and causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both individuals. Through investigation, it was learned that the altercation was initiated by the female and escalated into a physical confrontation. As a result, a 37-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with assault – spousal. She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in May.
