Impaired Driver
On February 5th at 8:57pm, Belleville Police responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle collision in the city’s west end. It was reported that a vehicle had driven into a snowbank and became stuck. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the male driver and observed signs of impairment. As a result of investigation, Richard Beals, 67-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration over 80mg. He was released on an appearance notice with a scheduled court date in March.
